Minnesota governor convenes special biofuels council to hasten fossil fuel transition

In Minnesota, the governor has convened a special council on biofuels bringing together the state’s agriculture, transportation, and commerce commissioners as well as the pollution control agency to recommend policies and budgets that will boost its production and use of biofuels. The 15-member council must submit a report to the governor by November 1, 2020 that includes not only policies but analyzes the impact of those policies on agriculture, rural communities, the environment and economically disadvantaged populations.
