Senators to meet with Trump again prompts RIN prices to tank again

September 19, 2019 |

In Washington, as the impasse between biofuel producers and the oil industry drags on, Reuters reports that Senators are set to meet with President Trump on Thursday to try to come to final agreement, again. On the back of news that oil-state senators like Ted Cruz would attend the meeting, prices for D6 RINs slipped by more than 10% to just 22 cents each. Earlier in the week, the president is said to have approved a deal that would increase biofuel blending by 10% in 2020 but the oil industry is displeased with the plan.
