In New York state, the CEO of India’s SpiceJet announced the airline will fly 100 million passengers on aviation biofuels by 2030. That is the same number of passengers the airline flew in 2015 alone. Of the 150,000 flights that have so far flown on aviation biofuels, the company has only flown one flight, but made the commitment to become a major use of aviation biofuels during the UN SDG Climate Summit currently going on in New York.
