Chinese ethanol imports slip to just 7,061 cu m in August

In China, Platts reports that ethanol imports in August fell to just 7,061 cu m, from 14,152 cu m in July, much of it denatured ethanol coming from South Africa. South Africa has exported a total of 24,277 cu m of ethanol in 2019 through August. Pakistan, which is typically the main ethanol supplier to China, didn’t export any volumes to the country in August. Undenatured ethanol imports were only 71 cu m from Myanmar along with Poland’s contribution of 12 cu m.
