Philippine domestic ethanol price falls slightly during H2 September as feedstock prices ease

September 30, 2019 |

In the Philippines, Platts reports that even though the sugar industry isn’t currently crushing cane, molasses prices have fallen and therefore ethanol prices have fallen in line to $1,140/cu m during the first half of September, 1.57% lower than from H2 June. The price is nearly 6% higher on the year, however. Mills should begin crushing in October with molasses reaching the market in November. Landed ethanol prices are half the price of domestic ethanol at $578.8/mt.
