Brazil seen needing to invest $500 million to achieve B15 by 2023

In Brazil, Argentina’s Clarín newspaper reports that the country’s biodiesel industry needs to invest $500 million in order to achieve B15 by 2023 as planned. The country’s oil and renewable energy agency recently released a study confirming the shift to B15 from the current B11 following technical studies that tested the fuel’s stability and impacts on engines. The country has been increasing its biodiesel blend by 1% annually for the past several years and plans are to continue that trend until reaching 15%.
