November 11, 2019 |

In India, the Economic Times newspaper reports that the government has given Indian Oil Company the environmental green light to go ahead with its planned 2G ethanol plant located near the company’s Panipat oil refinery. The 100,000 liter per day, $107 million facility is meant to double farmers income as well as significantly reduce crop biomass that is currently burned due to the lack of value, one of the key causes for the air pollution that has been plaguing New Delhi in recent weeks.
