Brazil breaks monthly hydrous ethanol sales record in October at 2.11 billion liters

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports that hydrous ethanol production between April 1 and November 1 was 20.61 billion liters while anhydrous production during the same period was 8.95 billion liters. During October, 2.11 billion liters of hydrous ethanol was sold, breaking the previous monthly record. A total of 3.08 billion liters was sold in October with just 227.59 million liters destined for export and the remainder for domestic consumption. The sugarcane crush is beginning to wind down for the season that typically ends in December.
