LMC International suggests closer cooperation between palm oil producing countries

In Malaysia, The Edge Markets reports that the head of LMC International says cooperation between countries to boost biodiesel blending mandates will help support palm oil prices. In order to achieve these stronger prices, coordination among Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries will be required. Although most of the attention has been on Malaysia and Indonesia pushing their blending mandate to 20% and 30% respectively, Thailand’s biodiesel mandate increases since 2017 actually surpass those of Malaysia.
