ECB contracts Acciona to do engineering for Paraguayan HVO plant

In Spain, Reuters reports that Acciona has won an engineering contract to build the first HVO plant in Paraguay, the new ECB plant recently announced that will also produce aviation biofuel. The facility will use Honeywell UOP and Crown Iron Works technologies. Funding raising for the $800 million project was outsourced to Barclays Bank Plc and UBS Group AG by ECB. The 20,000 barrels per day of production will likely be exported to high value markets in the US, Canada and Europe.
