Brazil’s CONAB sees ethanol production at 35.5 billion liters in 2019/20

In Brazil, Reuters reports that the national supply agency CONAB has increased its ethanol production estimate for 2019/20 crush in the center-south region to 31.57 billion liters compared to its August estimate of 27.35 million liters. The estimate for the overall sugarcane crush was also increased to 589 million metric tons from 571 million tons in August. Nationally, including the north-northeast region, and corn-based ethanol production in the center part of the country, CONAB expects production to reach 35.5 billion liters. Its corn ethanol estimate is up 114% on the year at 1.7 billion liters.
