Public comment period extended on Clean Fuel Standard for Puget Sound
January 11, 2020

In Washington, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency extended the public comment period to February 10th (originally January 6th) to provide more opportunities for input on their draft regional Clean Fuel Standard to help meet their target of 50% GHG pollution below 1990 levels by 2030.
The Clean Fuel Standard would apply to transportation fuels supplied or sold in the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency’s jurisdiction — King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. The standard would reduce greenhouse gas pollution from transportation to address climate change and protect human health.
The rule summary, draft rule, and information on how to submit comments on the draft Clean Fuel Standard can be found here on their website.
