B30 saving Indonesia $8 billion annually in FX

In Indonesia, the Jakarta Post newspaper reports that the president expects the B30 mandate to result in savings of $8 billion per year in foreign exchange which could nearly double when the country eventually moves to B50. The move to B40 is set for next year, having just switched to 30% blending at the end of 2019. At a political rally last Friday, called the EU’s ban on palm oil for biodiesel as an “Act of Trade War.”
