German cabinet approves National Bioeconomy Strategy

In Germany, Agence France Presse reports the Federal Cabinet adopted the so-called National Bioeconomy Strategy on Wednesday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced in Berlin. In it, the Federal Government bundles its previous activities in the bioeconomy and sets the course for further design. The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Education are responsible for the project.

According to the information, future research funding will focus on expanding biological knowledge and using biological processes and systems. In the future, biogenic raw materials could also replace fossil raw materials and create “new sustainable products”.
