In Louisiana, the Advocate newspaper reports that Greentech Materials is looking to build a $400-$500 million renewable diesel facility at the Port of Baton Rouge that would use soybean oil and palm oil as feedstock. Last Thursday at a port executive meeting, a 90-day period was granted for the company to reach an agreement on leasing a 164-acre site for the proposed facility but the full port committee will vote on the agreement this week.
