Big Ox Energy loses permits following lawsuits over odors and gases

In Nebraska, the Associated Press reports that Nebraska’s Environment and Energy Department has revoked air and other permits from the Big Ox Energy biogas plant in South Sioux City following lawsuits by local residents against both state and local authorities over odors and gases. The company has 30 days to appeal the revocation of the permits. The state agency says the company has continually failed to comply with regulations. The company didn’t immediately respond to the Associated Press’s request for comments.
