In the UK, following a recent acquisition by Bio Capital along with a multi-million pound capital injection, Warrens Emerald Biogas is upgrading its biogas facility by 40% to 115,000 metric tons per year, continuing to use food waste as feedstock. Upgrades to the technology used at the facility will also help to improve pasteurization, digestion and biomethane capabilities. At the moment, the biogas is converted into 100,000 MWh of power and 100,000 tons of fertilizer for farmers.
