Indonesia to begin B40 trials in March

In Indonesia, the Jakarta Post newspaper reports that the country is set to kick of trials of 40% biodiesel blending in March. B30 was brought into the market in early January as part of the country’s attempts to reduce FX spend on oil imports and boost its palm oil industry. Two vehicle models will be used in the trial but which two were not reported. With an eye on eventually getting to B100, the government plans to increase to 40% and then 50% over the next couple of years.
