Ethanol demand hits nine-week high while stocks continue to drop

In Washington, DTN reports that Energy Information Administration data shows that ethanol demand reached a nine-week high last week to 902,000 bpd that saw stocks drop by 63,000 barrels to 24.718 million barrels despite production continuing to rise. Production rose to 1.054 million bpd, the highest seen in three weeks, while the four-week average was 1.052 million bpd, a full 50 million bpd higher than during the same period last year. Stocks fell in four out of five regions with the Gulf Coast region the only one to see a stock build.
