Brazilian February ethanol sales nears 2.4 billion liters

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports that February hydrous ethanol sales reached 1.54 billion liters while 737.60 million liters of anhydrous ethanol was sold. Of the nearly 2.4 billion liters sold in February, only 120 million liters were exported while the rest was for domestic consumption. Ethanol production drops significantly during the sugarcane interharvest period of January through March but increasing corn-based ethanol production has picked up, accounting for 83.7 million liters of the nearly 106 million liters of ethanol produced in February.
