March 16, 2020 |

In Turkey, the Middle East Monitor says that local press is reporting the government’s decision to temporarily halt its ethanol blending program for up to three months in order to free up supplies to produce disinfectants and colognes to battle the spread of coronavirus after the country had its first five confirmed cases last week. The 3% ethanol blending law came into effect in 2014 and suspending it is expected to make available 20,000 cubic meters of ethanol.
