In Washington, Reuters reports that Energy Information Administration data shows January biodiesel production was steady at 134 million gallons, just one million gallons higher than in December. Biodiesel production is expected to increase again following the renewal of the biodiesel producers tax approved at the end of 2019. Although January biodiesel production still came predominantly from soy oil, only 521 million pounds of soy oil was used as feedstock compared to 541 million pounds used in December.
