Neste sees renewable diesel exports soaring to 20M tons over next decade

March 31, 2020 |

In Singapore, Platts reports that Neste believes global demand for renewable diesel will soar to more than 20 million metric tons over the next decade from just 5 million tons last year thanks to demand for sustainable aviation fuel as well as for road transportation in addition to chemical and polymer demand. By mid-2022, the company’s Singapore refinery is expected to produce 1.3 million tons annually while it could potentially start producing 450,000 tons per year of aviation fuel from 2023 in Rotterdam, if the feasibility study it is currently undertaking proves viable.
