KAAPA Ethanol shuts Ravenna plant but keeps open Minden

April 1, 2020 |

In Nebraska, KAAPA Ethanol says that although it has a strong balance sheet that will allow it to weather thin margins, it has taken the decision to shut the Ravenna facility until further notice while production will continue at Minden as long as margins allow. Its elevator at Elk Creek will also continue to operate for the time being. The company says it plans to honor all of its corn contracts and will keep all of its staff on salary.
