CONAB says Brazilian 2019/20 ethanol production reached 35.6B liters

In Brazil, Reuters reports that the national supply agency CONAB says ethanol production during the recently concluded 2019/20 season ended at 35.6 billion liters, 7.5% higher than the previous year. Of the total, sugarcane-based ethanol production is estimated at 34 billion liters, more than 5% higher on the year, while the remainder was produced from corn, double that of the year prior. Sugarcane-based anhydrous ethanol production rose 8.5% on the year at 10.1 billion liters.
