Green Plains sees boost to biofuel post-pandemic as people avoid public transport

In Nebraska, Bloomberg reports that as COVID-19 stay in place restrictions ease, people will move away from public transport and opt for private vehicles, giving a boost to biofuel demand. Calling it a “potential tailwind”, Green Plains’ CEO says that post-COVID-19 will look different than before the pandemic and could help to boost demand for biofuels that were lost due to crashing oil prices and the stay-in-place measures that kept people off the road for months.
