US Department of Commerce maintains duties on Argentine biodiesel imports

In Washington, DTN reports that the US Department of Commerce has decided to keep the door shut on Argentine biodiesel imports. In November 2018, Commerce took another look at the issue of Argentine biodiesel imports after the industry there said circumstances had changed following shifts in export taxes, a review which should have taken 270 days but went way beyond that. Commerce announced this week that changes were not enough to drop or eliminate the antidumping and countervailing duties so they will remain in place.
