Indonesia looking at new ways to subsidize biodiesel

In Indonesia, with the price gap between biodiesel and diesel more than doubling since January, Reuters reports the country is looking at how to subsidize biodiesel because the current scheme won’t be enough. Biodiesel prices are subsidized by the government fund that levies taxes on palm oil exports but with the low price of palm oil last year, the levy scheme was paused and there isn’t enough to offset the costs oil companies incur by blending higher levels of biodiesel.
