Argentina’s Santa Fe to switch public transportation to B100

June 1, 2020 |

In Argentina, El Ciudadano newspaper reports the Santa Fe provincial legislature has proposed the massive migration of the use of diesel to biodiesel in transportation which the local industry says it has the production capacity to supply in its entirety. Supply the provincial capital’s public transport network with biodiesel would require 400,000 metric tons per year while the province itself produces more than 2.5 million tons of biodiesel annually. If the provincial fleet vehicles, agriculture and power generation also switched over to biodiesel, local demand would reach 1 million tons annually.
