In Germany, Chemical Engineering Online reports that Clariant has teamed up with Ineratec, a spinoff of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, to commercialize the latter’s gas-to-liquid technology. Clariant brings to the partnership extensive catalysis expertise as well as syngas upgrading and conditioning technology. Ineratec’s containerized technology is adept for decentralized installations producing liquid fuels from green hydrogen produced from renewable electricity. In addition to fuels, the partnership plans to create green chemicals such as renewable methanol and green polypropylene.
