Omani algae mega project making progress with permissions

In Oman, Zawya news agency reports UK-based SuSeWi is making progress on its planned $430 million algae farm and biofuel production facility planned for the South Al Sharqiya coast. The Diwan of the Royal Court set up the Implementation Support and Follow-Up Unit to help usher along strategic projects through regulations and permission and the algae project has been included in that support structure. Already a preliminary aquaculture license has been obtained while an Environmental Impact Assessment is currently underway.
