ADM shifts ethanol production to industrial at Clinton, Iowa facility

In Illinois, ICIS reports that Archer Daniels Midland has further expanded its industrial alcohol production, first at its Peoria, Illinois facility and now at its Clinton, Iowa facility in an effort to meet continued demand for hand sanitizers and other industrial uses. The company said that the additional production capacity will be available on demand, as required. Most major ethanol producers have shifted some or most of their ethanol production to industrial production to meet demand for hand sanitizers and disinfectants in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and lower demand for fuel ethanol.
