EPA puts 2021 RVO proposal on hold indefinitely

In Washington, sources told Reuters the Environmental Protection Agency has put on hold indefinitely the release of its biofuel blending mandate proposal for 2021, which the agency declined to comment about when requested. The proposal was already expected for release by late June or early July, but no reason was given for the delay. The controversy over how the EPA approves RIN compliance exemptions for small refiners has continued to heat up with GOP senators from oil and corn states battling it out in an effort to break the impasse.
