DBA Bilbao Port wants to boost boost biofuel transshipping by 500%

In Spain, Diario El Canal reports DBA Bilbao Port has presented to the port of Bilbao a project to build a new port terminal for the storage of renewable energy, such as bioethanol, biodiesel, HVO and hydrocarbons on a 46,000 square meter plot in Punta Sollana (Zierbena) adjacent to its current facilities. The project would expand the storage capacity in the port of Bilbao by 500% to 315,000 cubic meters, with the consequent increase in land and sea traffic. The project, with an investment of more than EUR40 million, would equate to more than EUR100 million in tax revenue per year for the Hacienda Foral de Bizkaia.
