Ethanol spot prices rising as demand jumps in states with high COVID infection rates

In Texas, ICIS reports that after suffering a slight dip and then flattening out, spot ethanol prices are rising again in line with increased gasoline demand as COVID-19 travel restrictions ease up. Prices still haven’t recovered to pre-COVID levels but supplies remain tight, so the support is there for prices to continue higher. Even though gasoline sales have slipped since July 4, ICIS reports that demand has doubled in states where there is a high amount of new COVID cases reported.
