Pertamina successfully produces renewable diesel at Dumai refinery

In Indonesia, Reuters reports Pertamina has successfully produced renewable diesel from 100% palm oil at its Dumai refinery. The facility has a 1,000 barrel per day production capacity. The company said it has now demonstrated the technical capacity of its technology using proprietary catalysts developed by its researchers, a catalytic cracking process and hydrogen gas, but the economic side of the fuel still needs to be sorted out. The fuel is meant to help the country achieve its B100 goals.
