Sens. Grassley and Ernst want ethanol industry included in next round of COVID recovery funds

In Washington, the Hagstrom Report says that as Congress begins to look at further economic stimulus to help the post-COVID-19 recovery, Iowa’s Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst are looking for ways to ensure the ethanol industry is included. With corn prices low, the Senators want to find a way to help get ethanol producers back online and producing while waiting for driving to pick back up. They said the oil industry has already received significant support through the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
