POET sees summer CO2 demand returning to normal levels

In Iowa, Gasworld reports POET believes CO2 production has stabilized and the market is being adequately served as ethanol producers come back online following the drastic drop in demand following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic that saw production collapse by 50%. Although CO2 production dropped, demand also dropped significantly too due to the closure of bars and restaurants. POET believes that barring another economic downturn that summer CO2 demand should return to normal levels.
