July 28, 2020 |

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports the most recent ANP biodiesel auction saw 72.75 million liters of biodiesel sold for a total of $63.9 million at an average of 89 cents per liter. More than 94% of the volume sold for blending during the month of August had the social seal attached to it, indicating the biodiesel feedstock came from small farmers. Typically auctions cover two month blending periods. Biodiesel producers have asked for the blending mandate to increase in order to help offset the reduction in fuel demand but they have so far been unsuccessful.
