In Brazil, Platts reports the country has flipped into a net exporter of ethanol as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic with July exports at a seven-year high of 353 million liters and 53% higher on the year. Nearly 52% of those exports went to the US with South Korea following as the second largest export destination. June ethanol consumption was more than 18% lower on the year which in turn saw stocks build to 5.95 billion liters by month’s end, an increase of 42% against 2019.
