Terravesta launches new video touting miscanthus as biofuel feedstock

August 16, 2020 |

In the United Kingdom, Terravesta launched a new animation video to spread the word about building a bio-based future with Terravesta Performance Hybrids, and miscanthus grown from seed rather than the usual rhizomes, allowing it to be upscaled 200 times faster.

Terravesta is reducing the world’s dependence on fossil derived fuels and products by utilizing specifically bred and selected miscanthus hybrids to suit all markets and climates, according to the company. The GRACE project is working on combining miscanthus and hemp to show how they can be used on marginal land and refined for advanced end-uses including replacements for industrial chemicals, building materials, composite materials such as plastics, medicine, cosmetics or biological herbicide, and more.
