Colombia and Argentina see Latin America and Caribbean as potential biodiesel markets

In Argentina, Clarin newspaper reports that the heads of the palm, soy and biodiesel producers’ associations in Colombia and Argentina believe Latin America and the Caribbean provide attractive market opportunities for their respective biodiesel sectors. But in order to make those markets viable for exports, there are many policies regarding land, taxes and employment that need to be revised in order to facilitate and grow that demand for biodiesel. Colombia’s palm oil industry has managed to focus on its sustainability and that way gain access even to challenging markets like Europe.
