North Dakota regulators green light pipelines for Marathon refinery conversion

In North Dakota, as part of the conversion of Marathon’s Dickinson Refinery to produce renewable diesel, the North Dakota Public Service Commission has approved two pipelines for the project. One pipeline will carry liquid soybean and corn oil from the rail terminal to the refinery while the other project will do the reverse trip, carrying renewable diesel to the rail terminal. Much of the renewable diesel produced will likely end up in the California market.
