September 2, 2020 |

In Argentina, La Nacion reports the biodiesel industry’s idle capacity is around 60%, the highest in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, in the case of bioethanol, demand has fallen by 30%. This situation comes months after the expiration of the law that establishes the obligatory nature of cutting with biofuels from fossil fuels, next May. The industries are trying to put forward proposals for a new law that will help support them and enable them to complete with fossil fuels.
