Thai mega biorefinery project set for June 2021 commissioning

In Thailand, the Nation newspaper reports the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation, a major biorefinery complex that will process agricultural crops along with biofuels and bioplastics production from residues is on target to open in June 2021. So far, 45% of construction of the flagship facility is completed. The project will become the largest in ASEAN when commissioned, using a wide variety of agricultural feedstocks, surpassing the current largest in the region in Malaysia which uses just oil palm as feedstock.
