US Grains Council sees ethanol production not returning to pre-COVID levels until 2022

September 15, 2020 |

In Washington, Reuters reports the US Grains Council told a Platts virtual event that it doesn’t believe global ethanol production will recover to pre-COVID levels until 2022 while 2020 production will be 20% lower on the year. Ethanol production in the US, however, is only currently off by about 10% compared to last year.
