ANP supplementary auction sees 8.5 million liters of biodiesel sold at $1.05 per liter

In Brazil, Renewables Now reports that 8.5 million liters of biodiesel were contracted at the most recent supplementary ANP biodiesel auction. Fetching about $9 million, the average price was $1.05 per liter and the entire volume came with the social seal ensuring feedstock is produced by family farmers. Six producers offered a total of 9.5 million liters at auction that will supply the blending mandate between September 21 and October 31. Biodiesel producers have been trying to get the government to boost the blending mandate to make up for demand losses due to COVID-19.
