Ethanol production slips to 12-week low but stocks build anyway

In Washington, DTN reports Energy Information Data shows ethanol production fell to a 12-week low to 906,000 bpd, 20,000 bpd lower than the week prior. Yet despite lower production, lower blending rates led to the first stock build in three weeks, bringing stocks to 19.997 million barrels. Stocks on the East Coast, Gulf Coast and West Coast all saw modest increases while the Midwest fell for the third week in a row. Blending for the week averaged 839,000 bpd, more than 10% lower on the year.
