ANP board approves temporary biodiesel blending cut to 11%

October 7, 2020 |

In Brazil, Correio do Brasil reports the board of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) approved on Wednesday the exceptional and temporary reduction of the percentage of mandatory mixture of biodiesel to diesel oil from the current 12% to 11% in the two months of November and December 2020. The decision aims to expand the offer of environmentally friendly fuel.

“The measure is necessary to continue the national supply, since the supply of biodiesel for the period mentioned could not be sufficient to meet the 12% mixture of diesel B, which has been widely consumed, despite the current pandemic situation”, the ANP said in a statement.
