GETEC says biomass cogen plant at Clariant’s Romanian sunliquid plant on target

October 14, 2020 |

In Romania, Business Review reports GETEC has already completed several important phases of construction for the biomass-based cogeneration plant that will provide energy for the Clariant sunliquid project under development. Boiler installation began last month while this month work on the water treatment plan has begun. In early 2021, the steam supply installation will be complete. Despite COVID-19 challenges, the company says construction is on time. Lignin produced as part of the sunliquid cellulosic ethanol process will be used as feedstock for the cogeneration facility.
